Up early this morning and if we could choose one word to describe our mood, I'd say we're, "ready." Goodbyes went smoothly this morning, Mommy able to hold back tears until we were safely in the car. Honestly, I think the kids were glad to see us go, excited about Party Time with Papa & Mimi.
The song playing in the car this morning was Mark Schultz, Everything to Me, a song he wrote to his birth mother about how when she gave him up, she gave him everything. Fitting considering Nolan's life is about to change in every way. The little guy has no idea what is coming and even though it will be a painful transition for him, it's absolutely the best thing for him. What a picture of God's love for us and something to remember the next time circumstances are agonizing and we don't understand what He is up to; beauty from ashes.

Janis - You're in my thoughts! I'm glad things went well with the good-byes this morning! It is always harder on "mom" than the kids!! It's because we love them sooooo much! But, you try to relax now and look forward to holding your new son in your arms very soon!! Are you about to BURST with excitement?!!! Hooray....the time has finally come!!
